Spicing up my marriage without doing weird, gross stuff.

Relationships get stale. You can’t be on your ‘A’ game all the time, and this week, I’ve felt like sort of a crappy spouse for putting in virtually no effort. Just going through the motions of everyday life I guess. So how can I spice up my marriage? More importantly, how can I spice up my marriage without doing weird, gross stuff. A few hours ago, I got a text: I need to come up with an interesting fact about myself for work.

Little did he know that I had just finished my personal to do list, and put the kid down for a nap. I had what you would call, some time to kill. I spent the next two hours sending him text messages that all began like this-An interesting fact about Brandon Moore:

I was surprised at how easy it was to come up with stuff… cute stuff, funny stuff, romantic stuff, stuff that made him feel manly and appreciated, stuff that made the staleness dissipate

Here are a few of his favorites:
An interesting fact about Brandon Moore:No matter how difficult life can get, he falls back on his faith and his family. He tries not to land on the baby.

An interesting fact about Brandon Moore:Likes his coffee… in Brazil. He doesn’t like coffee.

An interesting fact about Brandon Moore:Spends more time at the library than most. Don’t let it fool you, he’s typically returning a children’s book.

An interesting fact about Brandon Moore:Will flap a flappy bird.

An interesting fact about Brandon Moore:Gets bummed out when life bums him out.

An interesting fact about Brandon Moore: Has never ridden a donkey, and prefers the term donkey, because the other is a curse word.

He loved it. He would respond with things like- I can’t stop smiling-Keep ’em coming-I love you-Are you having fun with this, cuz I am!

And suddenly we’re feeling close and connected again. Accidental marriage building did indeed occur.
